Lindau meetings with Nobel Laureates 2008 (Germany)

Dear Marie Curie Fellows,

We would like to turn your attention to this year's Meetings of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany. This is a unique series of meetings held every year since 1951 where students and young researchers from all over the world have the opportunity to listen to the Nobel Laureates’ lectures and to engage in discussions with them. More information is available on this website: www.lindau-nobel.de.

This years there will be two meetings from this series:
29 June – 4 July 2008: 58th Meeting of Nobel Laureates (dedicated to Physics)
20 – 23 August 2008: 3rd Meeting in Economic Sciences

The participants to these meetings are selected based on strict criteria by intermediaries from universities and research institutions (Academic Ambassadors) in their respective countries. The European Commission is one of these Ambassadors, which means that you, as holders of the EC personal fellowships, have good chances to be seleced though the EC quota. The full list of the Academic Ambassadors by country is available here. The reqiurements to prospective participants are given here.

More information can be obtained from:
1) Nadine Gärber, who is responsible for Young researchers support at the Lindau Nobel Foundation,
2) Marie Curie helpdesk of the European Commission, or
3) A local Academic Ambassador
